PTC Club and Event Happenings:

New volunteers to Terra Linda

Thank you to those that have signed up to become volunteers!

New volunteer applications are still being processed by the district.  We are just now starting to see new volunteers added to Terra Linda who applied at the end of August.  If you completed the application, know that this time of the year is the busiest for the District and it may take a few more days to hear back.

Please ensure you have signed up in My Volunteer Page to volunteer in your child’s classroom as a classroom volunteer, party helper, or field trip helper depending on your interests.  This will help the classroom representative, and party parent know who is interested in helping in the classroom.

Information will be sent to those who have signed up for the Classroom Representative and Party Parent positions by the end of the weekend.  They will work with the teacher and then will reach out to those who have signed up to volunteer in the classroom with details about any classroom volunteer opportunities and to request party help.

Student Directory

The online student directory will be sent out to parents in the coming weeks.  This will be a password protected link that only Terra Linda parents will have access to.

If you would like to opt out of sharing any part of your personal information, please submit this form by Friday, 9/14.

Handel’s Homemade Ice-Cream: Dining for Dollars Event

A new school year calls for ice cream!

Our first Dining for Dollars event of the year is TODAY, September 13th, at Handel’s Homemade ice cream from 11AM-10PM.

Handel’s is located next to Safeway at 13539 NW Cornell Rd.  When anyone presents the flyer your child brought home (or this digital flyer), Terra Linda will receive 20% of the purchases, including gift cards!

In addition to single servings of ice cream, they sell pints, quarts, milkshakes, and they make ice cream pies and cakes,  to name a few of their treats!

Spread the word, and stop in to support Terra Linda and this new business in our community!

Fine Arts Class

Veronica Lake, Terra Linda Alumni Parent and professional artist is offering a fine arts class to Terra Linda students, 2nd – 5th grade.  This would be a great after school activity for early release Wednesdays.  For more information, check out this flyer.

Kindergarten PARENTS!

Looking for a place to connect with other kindergarten parents?  Join this class of 2031 facebook group.

Future Appolo’s Football Game

Sunset High School is hosting a future Appolo Night!

Meet Mrs. Batsell at Terra Linda’s flag pole on Friday, 9/21 @ 6:15 and we’ll walk over to Sunset High School to watch the Varsity Football team.

Students get in FREE!  Parents must accompany students.  Cash only!

Jog-A-Thon

It is Jog-A-Thon time again on Friday, 9/28!
This year our fundraising goal is $25,000. Reaching this goal is crucial to funding PTC events and programs this school year.
Are you curious what the PTC help fund?  Check out the PTC  budget .
You can easily send emails to family and friends, near or far.  Simply log in to PledgeStar.  It is the most efficient way to collect money but all donations, big or small, in any form, are happily accepted and very appreciated.
A huge thank you to this year’s sponsors. Because of their generous contributions, we will once again be able to provide t-shirts (look for a new, fun, retro look this year!) to all students and staff.
