The Terra Linda Tiger Trot is the primary fundraiser for Terra Linda Elementary School PTC and our goal this year is to raise $35,000 to fully fund all Student Enrichment and Community Events.

Money raised during the Tiger Trot goes directly to OUR school to help OUR kids!

HOW IT WORKS: ​ ​All students, Kindergarten through Fifth grade, earn money for our school by collecting donations for their participation in the school wide Tiger Trot on October 6th.  The run takes place on the Terra Linda track during specials and lasts 20 minutes.  Students can choose to run, jog, or walk. Jamba Juice will provide smoothies for all students after they participate!

PLEDGE ONLINE or PAPER PACKET:

  1. Go to https://pledgestar.com/terralinda ​and donate online (additional instructions on reverse side)
  2. List cash, check, direct company website donations and expected company matches on paper packet and return donation envelope to school. Cash, checks and direct company website donations will be added to Pledgestar class totals for prizes once packets are turned in.

3 WAYS TO GET INVOLVED:

  1. Encourage your students to collect pledges from friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers, either online or using the paper pledge sheet sent home with each student.
  2. Check with your employer to see if they match donations. Nike, Intel, Wells Fargo, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Bank of America are just some of the companies that match your contributions. **If donating directly through your company’s website, please list the donation amount on the paper pledge sheet for the donation to be counted toward class prizes. Benevity users, please select Terra Linda Parent Teacher Club.
  3. Volunteer for the event or attend as a visitor to cheer on the students – it is a fun day of fresh air and community building! Be on the lookout for volunteer emails and the PTC Blast detailing opportunities. **You must have cleared your background check through Beaverton School District prior to the day of the Tiger Trot if you are planning to volunteer.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

September 14th – Tiger Trot packets sent home!

September 15th –  October 6th – Collect donations!

October 6th​– ​Tiger Trot Day and all donations due!

End-October – Prizes announced!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  Donations are tax deductible. ​The Terra Linda PTC Tax ID is #93-0988350. Donors will automatically receive a tax receipt if donations are made through Pledgestar.  If anyone sends a cash or check, a receipt for donation can be requested by  emailing treasurer@terralindaptc.org.

 How To Pledge Online

This year your student can invite friends and family to sponsor via our online portal. Visit the webpage below to set up your student’s profile and send invitations to donate.

  1. Get started:
  • Go to https://pledgestar.com/terralinda
  • Click “Not Registered for This Year’s Event”
  • Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
  • Follow the instructions on-screen to register student(s) and upload their photo
  1. When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online.
  2. Pledgestar will automatically email a tax receipt to the donor.
  3. If you encounter any issues trying to make an online donation, please call 1-888-598-7510 for assistance.

Collect donations and earn class parties, individual awards, or an award for your teacher!

The more money your class raises, the bigger your party will be! All donations due October 6th.

$1000……………Extra Recess

$2000……………Extra Recess + Ice Cream Party

$3000……………Extra Recess + Ice Cream + Pizza Party

More prizes:      * Meet our goal of $35,000 and earn a whole school surprise at the assembly!

* Student who raises the most money will earn a prize!

* Teacher whose class has the highest participation will earn a prize!

* Individual in each class who runs the most laps during the event will earn a prize!

Note: if all your fundraising takes place on Pledgestar – you do not need to turn in this paper envelope.  We are tracking your donations online.  We only need this paper envelope back to turn in cash and checks and to track direct company website donations and expected company matches.  Thank you!
