❄️December Updates❄️

2025-26 School Directory is LIVE!

Thank you to all who opted-in to the 2025-2026 PTC School Directory this year! The directory is a great way to reach out to volunteers, arrange playdates or carpools and to stay in touch with classmates and their families. If you missed the original opt-in opportunity, it’s not too late to be added! Please complete this form and your information will be included.

Please refer to Parent Square for the link and password to reference the directory. You will find it in a post from November 18th.

*Please note- changes made to the PTC directory do not affect any information given to Terra Linda Elementary School. The directory is a Parent Teacher Club resource. If you have changes for the school, please contact the main office.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Help Make 4th & 5th Grade After School Clubs Possible – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Help make After School Clubs possible for our 4th and 5th graders! We have teachers, but we NEED volunteer support, and can’t do it without you!

This year, clubs will be offered after school on Thursdays from 3:00 – 3:45pm, beginning January 8th and continuing every Thursday we have school through March 19th, 2026. Student sign ups will be released contingent upon securing a sufficient number of Volunteers. We are looking for Volunteers that can commit to the below shifts by December 9th. Feel free to sign up for single shifts or multiple, if that fits your schedule!

Students and Volunteers are not expected to know anything about the topic of the club in order to participate. We will teach you! The tentative plan is as follows: Ms. Weiland & Mrs. Schrader will be the Art Club Advisor, Mr. Taporco will be the Video Production Club Advisor, Ms. Evans will be the Line Dancing Club Advisor and Ms. Gooding will be the Chess Club Advisor.

Please note, more information on after school clubs coming soon! Also, students participating in an after school club will need to be picked up by an adult, carpool or walk/bike home independently at 3:45pm. There are no buses available.

Reminder, only Approved Volunteers through Raptor can sign up to be a Volunteer at Terra Linda. To complete the Volunteer Approval Process, CLICK HERE!

For information on how to make sure you are registered as an approved volunteer, please refer to our Volunteer section below!

📚 Oregon Battle of the Books is Here! 📚

Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) is kicking off for the 2025–2026 school year! OBOB is a statewide reading motivation and comprehension program where students in grades 3-5 compete in friendly “battles” about a set book list.

Practice Dates: OBOB sessions are held in the Terra Linda library after school, 3–3:45 p.m. Students who register for OBOB automatically have their going-home plan modified on practice dates.

  • December 8
  • January 12
  • February 9: Battles!

Team Information: Teams consist of 3-5 students, with a maximum of 4 students competing in each battle. Teams can be formed across grade levels. Students can form teams prior to the first meeting, but aren’t required to do so before registering. We’ll help students create and adjust teams at the first meeting if needed.

Get Involved:

  • Register your student: https://forms.gle/JG1HKU1NDLFweRua6
  • Learn more: Watch an online information session, OBOB 101 for Grownups, hosted by Cedar Mill & Bethany Libraries
  • Get reading: Check out books (or audio books!) from the school or public library, or purchase at Powell’s where OBOB books are currently 20 percent off.

Tiger Tracks Running Club

Weekly, Wednesdays during lunch recess!

On your mark, get set, GO…our Tiger Tracks Running Club will be starting again this September and the kids are always so excited! But we are in need of a few volunteers each week to help the kids find their cards, scan as they run laps and cheer them along the way. No running experience required and weather dependent. The kids can run, walk, skip, dance, whatever their movement of choice is around the track during their lunch recess. All laps are recorded through Marathon Kids and earn them mileage milestone prizes throughout the year!

  • K-3:  10:45am – 12:00pm
  • 4-5 & SRC:  11:50am – 12:50pm

If interested, please sign up to volunteer in ParentSquare. Join us for lots of fun, fitness and prizes!!
